Below are pictures of the first full time radio gig. 1969 Age 15 KAOH radio. A little 500 watt country and western station. Partners in crime at the time= Steve Anthony (PD) Tim Michels aka Tim Pavilich Mark Williams aka Mark Pavilch. Chuck Oday aka Chuck Helmer. Mike Burke, (pics, below at a Park event.) Diane Mistkowski (polish princess) and Carla McCulley, currently employed at local radio stations. And good friends ** special attention. Ron Rogers AKA Shelly Bergen, aka Big Bopper, aka Amazing Shelly. (Pictures and more on Shelly on this page) Currently the full time voice and PD for Red Rocks KQDS Am 6am to 9am M-F and the craziest for last. AL Shmidtz. aka Crazy Al currently ranked in the top 10 oldies DJs in the world. can be heard by clicking the above link. Everyone except Al still resides in Duluth MN. This song goes out to them.

(Bink) Shurter, (superior Wisc.) While at a Paul Revere and the raiders concert in Duluth. Approched Paul( after one or two beers) and insisted Jeff was his twin. Paul has not been back.

From 1969 to 1976 Jeff worked in several local television stations, WDIO, WDSM and WDSE and was the third employee hired to open the brand new media. Teleprompter cable T.V. On the right is a national magazine that featured Jeffrey as the youngest manager in the history of the company.

And now the amazing Shelly. Picture of Shelly Bergen Aka Ron Rogers on KAOH radio. 1969 Currently Program Director and the voice for KQDS AM morning show. Also hosts the Edmunds Realty Sunday morning show on channel 3. A program that offers new home listings in the Duluth, Superior market area.and yes Shelly had hair back then.
